Growing Zones: Suitable for Zone 5 in Canada.

Planting Time: Plant seeds outdoors after the last frost date, typically in late May to early June.

Sun Requirements: Full sun is required; aim for at least 6 to 8 hours of sunlight per day.

Soil Preparation/Fertilizing: Prepare well-draining soil enriched with organic matter. A balanced fertilizer can be applied to promote healthy growth.

Spacing: Space seeds about 1 to 2 inches apart in rows that are 18 to 24 inches apart.

Watering: Water regularly to keep the soil consistently moist, but avoid waterlogging.

Days to Harvest: Approximately 50 to 60 days from planting to harvest.

Harvest: Harvest pods when they are firm and crisp, usually before they start to turn yellow or brown. Regular harvesting encourages more pod production.

To ensure plants arrive safe due to winter here in Zone 5, we will ship plants in May 2026.

Seedlings will be shipped in plug packs or 2 - 3 inch pots. Photos are reflective of plants growing on the farm or examples of grown seedlings, not what will be shipped or picked up.

It's important to harden off plants when they arrive to ensure they acclimate to the outdoor weather and ensure a more successful growing season.
