Description: Goji berries, also known as wolfberries, are small, red fruits that come from the Lycium barbarum plant. They are rich in vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants, making them a popular health food.
Growing Zones: Zone 5 Canada
Planting Time: Late spring, after the last frost
Sun Requirements: Full sun (at least 6 hours of direct sunlight per day)
Soil Preparation/Fertilizing: Well-drained, sandy loam soil; incorporate compost or well-rotted manure before planting.
Spacing: 3 to 4 feet apart to allow for growth
Watering: Keep the soil consistently moist but not waterlogged, especially during the first year.
Days to Harvest: 90 to 120 days after planting
Harvest: Pick ripe berries when they are bright red and slightly soft to the touch.
