Description: The Onion Alisa Craig is a sweet, mild onion variety known for its large, bulbous shape and light skin. It is particularly popular for its ability to be grown in cooler climates, yielding sweet, tender bulbs that are perfect for salads and other culinary uses.
Growing Zones Range: Zone 5 Canada
Planting Time: Start seeds indoors in early spring, or sow directly in the garden after the last frost date.
Sun Requirements: Full sun, ideally 6-8 hours of direct sunlight daily.
Soil Preparation/Fertilizing: Prepare well-drained, loamy soil with a pH of 6.0-6.8. Incorporate compost or a balanced fertilizer into the soil before planting.
Spacing: Space plants about 4-6 inches apart in rows that are 12-18 inches apart.
Watering: Water consistently to keep the soil moist, especially during dry spells, but avoid overwatering to prevent rot.

Harvest: Harvest when the tops begin to fall over and turn yellow; cure the bulbs in a dry, well-ventilated area for storage.
